“Long Gone” is our first posting for 2026 and is one of the strongest songs Chris and myself have written during our four-year partnership. It features a remastered vocal melody that reflects themes of environmental change and personal reflection. 

The concept is simple yet slightly poignant: returning to your hometown or local district after being away for a long time.

Both Chris and I can relate to this experience and the mixture of emotions it can bring sadness and a sense of loss, tempered by frustration at some of the changes that have occurred, even when those changes may benefit the local community. Drawing on our shared memories, the lyrics and music came together naturally.

An earlier version of “Long Gone” was released around two years ago on our four-track EP Hooked On You, which is still available to stream and download across most major music platforms. Embracing the recent advances in AI technology, we’ve now produced an animated video, and the results speak for themselves. The remastered version of the song with the animated video offers renewed depth and clarity, bringing a fresh, fun  and amusing look and feel to the track.
