MusicCast Forever

Hello,  firstly let me apologise for my speaking voice on the podcast video.

Some of you know that some years ago I had throat cancer I received radiotherapy combined with a program of preventative treatment which followed to remove a second tumour that had grown on the left hand side of my neck inside the lymph gland. (Squamous cell carcinoma). I was informed by  specialist that because of the amount of radiation required to address the cancer I may never sing again. I did eventually sing again and the voice returned nearly to normal.

What isn’t mentioned at the time of treatment is that after a period of years the long term effects of radiation may cause problems which is what’s presently happening to me.

I have an excess of acid reflux due to radiation damage to my oesophagus and the narrowing of the throat passage thus effecting my voice. But C’est la vie (that’s life) I’m just thankful that I’m still here to share my music and testimony, thanks to technology.

Regarding future podcast

Chris has already mentioned our website Chrismarkmusic and the podcast in episode. I hope you have found the first three interesting and informative.

As well as promoting our joint music projects Chris and myself would very much like you to interact us via the comments section which can be found at the bottom of each episode.

So why not provide us with your insights regarding your thoughts ideas and views.

If you are a fellow musician, or a singer of whatever gendre, a poet or artist (painter) please send us a link to your recent upload on YouTube etc: and we could include you as a guest and feature your work as an episode on a future podcast via a link to your respective platform.

Episode 5 is a video of myself appearing on a popular TV show in 1980, it’s scary watching it and can’t believe nearly forty five years have passed so quickly.

Episode 6 is a video of a song that Chris and myself wrote two years ago called “My Battle Scars” it’s about a homeless vetran. It’s proved to be the most popular song we have written so far having received twenty eight thousand hits between our joint releases on Spotify alone.

For episode 7 I’d like to hand back over to Chris who is going to tell you about “The Pirateers”, and in particular a singer who is featured on one of the tracks called “My England” he is  called Colin Arthur.

The Pirateers is brilliant music production that deserves more recognition that it is presently receiving. Chris spent 4 years of his life working on the project along with lyric writer Dave Freeman. Episode 7 & 8 will feature the most popular songs from the musical.

I hope you enjoy the diversity of our Podcast and please don’t hesitate to leave a comment. We only require your name and an email address for security reasons. This is to stop any malicious comments.
